Family Planning Victoria’s Young Person’s Guide to Managing and Accessing Sexual Health Services sessions provide students with an opportunity to reflect upon on a young person’s ability to manage their sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing now and into the future.

The one-hour workshops are aimed at Levels 9 & 10 and delivered by experienced, trained FPV educators.

Classes are held at our purpose-built clinical and education space in Melbourne’s CBD and are an ideal activity for students participating in a city experience. Sessions include access to the clinic and information about accessing health and support services.

Learning Intentions

Students will explore a range topics regarding a young person’s sexual and reproductive health, including:

  • safer sex
  • contraception
  • sexually transmissible infections
  • consent and the law
  • the rights of young people regarding managing their health and accessing services
  • potential barriers for young people accessing health services.
