Family Planning Victoria (FPV) is proud to launch a new suite of multilingual resources aimed at improving the reproductive and sexual health of women from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
Translated factsheets and animated videos feature in the suite of new multilingual resources, which were produced in partnership with the Multicultural Centre for Women's Health and officially launched at an event on Thursday 2 May.
Developed after extensive community consultation, the factsheets and videos cover reproductive and sexual health topics including contraception, pregnancy, menstruation and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The materials have been translated into a total of 13 languages, which are Arabic, Chinese Traditional, Dari, Karen, Punjabi, Somali, Tamil, Vietnamese, Hakha Chin, Dari, Somali and Urdu.
Available through FPV and MCWH's websites, the materials are a valuable sexual health resource for group facilitators and group leaders working with women from migrant communities, as well more broadly.
