Vaginal discharge
The following are some facts you should know about vaginal discharge:
- Most women have a whitish or clear vaginal discharge during their cycle, which is normal.
- If this discharge changes, you might have an infection.
- Check for an odour, yellowish or grey colour, thickened appearance, itching or pain, as these might be signs of infection.
- Not all infections are sexually transmitted, some are caused by changes to the healthy bacteria normally present in your vagina.
- If you have these symptoms, you should see a doctor to find the cause and can have it treated.
