Trichomoniasis
The following are some facts you should know about trichomoniasis:
- Trichomoniasis is caused by a micro-organism.
- It causes a thin, yellow-green vaginal discharge in women that can feel irritating and have a strong odour.
- Men can have a similar discharge or no symptoms.
- It's easily diagnosed by having a swab test.
- It's treated with antibiotics.
- You need to have it treated as soon as possible to prevent the infection from spreading.
- You sexual partners also need to be treated as soon as possible.
