Our library is located at Family Planning Victora's Box Hill site, 901 Whitehorse Road, Box Hill, near the tram terminus and train station. Opening hours are from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 3.30pm.
About our library
The collection contains up to date reproductive and sexual health resources for reference or loan by library members. It includes books, DVDs, kits and other resources for young people, teachers, health professionals, allied health professionals such as counsellors and disability workers, and people with an intellectual disability. Topics include:
- Adolescent sexuality; other adolescent issues eg. self-esteem, bullying
- Men’s sexual health
- Safer sex
- Sexual orientation
- Sexuality and intellectual disability
- Sexuality education
- Sexually transmissible infections, including HIV / AIDS
- Prevention of abuse
- Women’s sexual health
- Women’s issues eg. violence against women
Accessing the Library
Membership costs $125 per year.
Membership to the library costs $125 a year. It is open to all Victorian organisations and would be of particular interest to schools, special schools and disability support organisations.
Doctors and nurses undertaking our accredited courses have a year’s membership of the library included in their course fees.
Members of the general public and other non-members are welcome to visit and browse through the collection.
