Development
FPV delivers tailored training
and professional development anywhere in the state, on any
aspect of sexual and reproductive health.
This includes seminars on contraception
and unplanned pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections and
blood borne viruses, homophobia/heterosexism, teaching strategies
and activities for sexual and reproductive health topics in
schools, and information on new and relevant resources.
In addition to this statewide
service, FPV also runs a range of programs at its Box Hill
and City premises. A calendar of forthcoming programs is available

Professional
development for Primary Teachers, School Nurses and Community
Educators.
FPV can tailor
in-house programs to suit the requirements of staff at your
school or organisation. This may include consultation in drafting
a sexuality education program, formulating a whole school
approach to dealing with sexuality education or looking at
ways to address these sensitive issues with particular target
groups. In addition, FPV delivers the following calendared
workshops for educators working with Primary aged children:

This workshop explores the
Internets positive and negative impact on dating,
relationships and young peoples sexuality. Issues
such as cyber-sex, chat lines and access to net pornography
will be explored and the workshop will provide some practical
strategies to address these issues in sexuality education

of STIs
Update your knowledge of
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and learn new and
exciting strategies to use in the classroom. The workshop
includes a clinical update on STIs from a Family Planning
doctor or nurse. The
Contraception Invention
A fun and interactive workshop
looking at classroom strategies to teach students about
contraception. The session includes a clinical update on
contraceptive methods commonly used by young people as well
as the latest types of contraception available on the Australian
market. Sexual

This interactive workshop
will provide some inspiring ways to explore sexual health
