Saying
No
Sally
was on a tram one day. The man sitting next to her put his
hand on her breast and Sally was upset by this. She didn't
know the man, and she didn't want him touching her.
It's
OK to say no. Sally can say no because the man didn't ask
her if he could touch her, and Sally didn't want him to.
Graham
was in the school toilets when a bunch of boys asked him to
take his pants down and show them his penis. Graham said no,
so they tried to grab him and pull them down anyway.
Graham
didn't want them looking at his penis. The boys broke the
rules and Graham can and should tell his teacher.
Anne
has a boyfriend and they have sex together, often. One night
Geoff wants to have sex but Anne doesn't because she is too
tired. Geoff gets angry and says he should have sex when he
wants it.
It's
OK for Anne to say no. She only has sex when she wants to,
no matter whether she normally wants to or not.
Getting
pissed
Emily,
17: "I was at a party and there was this guy who
kept going on an on about how he wanted to sleep with me.
But he didn't have any condoms and neither did I, so I just
told him it wasn't going to happen. Then I kept drinking and
the next thing I know I wake up with him on top of me having
a good time and I thought: You Prick!"
"Now
I know that alcohol and drugs are half the fun of going to
a party. But it's important to know when you switch from "having
fun" to "being out of it"".
I
found out I was pregnant
Jenny,
15: "I missed my first period and I thought: "Oh
that's just because I have been stressed about exams. And
then I realised that I was six weeks late, so I got one of
those (pregnancy) tests and it was positive."
"
I eventually told my Mum and she was really cool. Turns out
that she had an abortion when she was 17 and she said it was
my choice. But I'm at school and I want to go to Uni, so I
am going to the clinic tomorrow and Mum is coming with me."
