Community Education

Sexual health is important to our physical and mental wellbeing. The care we do or do not take impacts greatly on our everyday lives and personal relationships.

FPV’s community health promotion programs are therefore aimed at enhancing awareness of sexual health issues and promoting improved outcomes.

Activities include -

  • Schools and Disability Education - promote increased openness, positive attitudes and knowledgeable, responsible and safe approaches to sexuality and relationships.
  • Tailored programs - for community groups, students, parents and teachers at preschool, primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
  • Workplace based sexual health education - for industry, sporting bodies, corporations, etc.
  • Educational resources and support for parents and carers.
  • Community health promotions - at expos, festivals and cultural events.
  • Collaboration with indigenous and culturally diverse communities - to promote improved health outcomes and access to services.
