and Clinical Services
The Clinics
FPVs Sexual Health Clinics
offer clients a confidential and safe setting in which to
discuss sexual health issues and receive specialist sexual
health care. Our Clinics focus on the more vulnerable and
under-screened groups in the community, and inform the educative
and research work of FPV.
- Sexual Health Clinics are
located at Box Hill and the Action Centre in Elizabeth
Street, Melbourne.
The Action Centre has been
running as part of Family Planning Victoria (FPV) since the 1970s and
is a sexual health centre in Elizabeth Street in the city for young people up
to 25 years. We consult with young people about all their contraception
requirements from emergency contraception to the Implanon.
We also see a large proportion of our client group for the
treatment or counselling for STIs. This ranges from chlamydia
to HIV testing.
The Action Centre
provides a number of counselling services and sees
young people for sexual assault counselling, pregnancy
